Distribution Transformers

Grit manufacturing facilities are capable of producing distribution transformers of various types including Oil immersed, Core type transformers, Dry type (VP impregnated) transformers, Power transformers and Auto transformers. Furthermore, we can also manufacture tailor made transformers as per client's requirements with any specified ratings.

Our Transformers are Type Tested - Impulse voltage (TR & PMT Panel) & Short Circuit Test (TR) from NTDC/WAPDA's High voltage & Short Circuit (HV&SC) Lab, Rawat, Islamabad

Note: The sealed type is manufactured as such that no air is inhaled or exhaled during load and no load conditions. The conservator type transformers are manufactured as such that the conservator is connected to the cover of the tank installed with oil level indicator and silica gel breather. Furthermore, the conservator type transformers can be manufactured with Silica-gel Breather, Oil Level Gauge, Buchholz Relay (single float or double float), Explosion vent and Dial Type Thermometer.

Pad Mounted Transformers (Compact Sub Stations)

The main components of a Pad Mounted Transformer are Medium Voltage Switchgear (this works as a Ring Main Unit), - TP Disconnect switches, a fused T-off function, Distribution Transformer, LV Switchgear, Control Gear, interconnections and other auxiliary equipment. The body / enclosure is made of steel sheet and is for outdoor installations, under protection class IP54.

Pad Mounted Transformers technical data is as follows:

Kiosk Type Compact Sub Stations (Walk in Type)

These are similar to the Pad Mounted Transformers with the differentiation that client engineers can walk inside the cubicle.

They are manufactured for installation in remote areas. They are ready for commissioning, self contained and have their own source of auxiliary supply (battery and battery charger) with protection and metering devices.
